EHM group strengthens organization with heavyweights

Company ready for substantial expansion

Arnhem, 14 September 2021 – With the appointment of two new board members, EHM Group is securing experienced professionals who can support the Dutch hospitality group in further curating its growth ambitions in the coming years.

Martijn Hermus has joined the EHM Group management board as a General Counsel. Hermus has been a lawyer for 20 years and, until August, was working as a partner at Greenberg Traurig Amsterdam, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, corporate law, and property. Bas Tolmeijer, one of the founders of EHM Group, explains how this feels like a natural step. ‘Our company is growing against the current, and the playing field is becoming increasingly complex. With the newly created position, we’ll be better able to streamline processes and respond more quickly to changing needs. Since we’ve been working closely with Martijn in his capacity as a lawyer for over 15 years, both of us know each other extremely well. We’re therefore pleased to welcome a specialist of his stature as a member of the board.’

Larissa Esser, who has been a Senior Advisor at the newest part of EHM Group (Hera HRI) since its launch in January, will lead the investment, project development, and asset management branch as the Managing Partner of Hera HRI. ‘In recent months, we’ve worked hard to establish partnerships with financial institutions, equity providers, and investors. The hospitality landscape has changed radically, partly due to the impact of the pandemic. We’ve experienced a strong need for our expertise in repositioning, project development, asset management, turnarounds, and hotel development. Now that the initiative is taking shape and we’re processing our first transactions, we want to formalize the organizational infrastructure. I’m proud to be able to lead Hera HRI, and we hope to be able to announce the first acquisition soon,’ says Larissa.
